Jim Pace's musical journey began in his hometown of Newton, New Jersey. At the age of 13, Jim was already strumming the guitar, and by high school, he was playing in bands, setting the stage for a lifelong passion for music.
After high school, Jim’s life took a different turn as he served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. Following his service, Jim’s focus shifted towards starting a family. It was during this time that music briefly took a backseat, until his children began their own musical explorations—his daughter on piano and his son on guitar. This family affair rekindled Jim's musical flame, and he found himself picking up the guitar once again.
The family moved to the picturesque Gold Coast of Georgia, where Jim expanded his repertoire, playing extensively along the coast from St. Mary’s in the south to Savannah in the north. After five years in Georgia, Jim and his family relocated to New Hampshire, where he continued to delight audiences in restaurants and pubs.
Eventually, Jim’s musical path led him to Florida, a vibrant new setting where he sought to immerse himself in the local music scene. It was here in Sarasota that he met Pat Barbara. Captivated by her enchanting voice, Jim knew instantly that she would be the ideal partner for the next chapter of his musical career. Together, they formed "It's Just Us Duo," blending their talents to create a unique and captivating musical experience.
Now performing together across the Sarasota, Bradenton, and Tampa Bay areas, Jim brings his extensive musical experience and a personal touch to every performance, ensuring that "It's Just Us Duo" offers something truly special to their audiences.
